16 de septiembre


We celebrated Mexico's Independence Day on September 16, 2009. Ask a kindergarten student to tell you about verde, rojo, y blanco (white)! Ask a second grader to tell you why the aguila (eagle) is in the center of the bandera (flag).

    I have never been to Chile, but I would love to go! The Spanish speaking countries I've been to are Mexico, Spain, and the Dominican Republic. I also went to France and heard people speaking French!

    dear ms.Yapp,
    I like the spanish flag becuse I edmier the simbel in the middel of the flag.I allso like the colers.And I like spanish class becuse you get an opertunety to learen a new langage. Oleso I think you are a graet spanish teacher.

    Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I bet you are talking about Mexico's flag...spend some time looking closely at flags of other Spanish speaking countries too. They are all very cool!
